The Martin-Opitz-Library is changing: Since 2021, it has formally been an affiliated institute of Ruhr University Bochum. This transformation is also reshaping and realigning the work of the Martin Opitz Library.
Through our annual reports, we aim to provide information on this process in the future and invite everyone interested in our work and our vision to take part in our efforts to make the Martin Opitz Library a vibrant centre for academic research and exchange on German cultural heritage in Eastern Europe.
Annual Report 2024
In this first annual report, we would like to introduce you primarily to our core responsibilities, areas of work and collections.
For systematic reasons, we will distinguish between our core function as a library and our activities in research and knowledge transfer, while recognising that these areas are closely interconnected and mutually enriching.
